Dawsongroup vans is proud to sponsor the “D-Day to VE Day” commemorative journey. This unique event retraces the historic route of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO), spanning 1,800 miles across North-West Europe and celebrating the 80th anniversaries of two pivotal moments in history.
More than just a trek, this journey also aims to raise essential funds for the Light Dragoons’ Charitable Trust, supporting veterans and their families.

As a winner, you’ll have the rare opportunity to travel in an authentic WWII jeep, experiencing the sights and landscapes firsthand as you follow the footsteps of heroes from the D-Day landings in Normandy to VE Day in Germany.
The tour is divided into 2 phases:
Phase 1: 18 May – 01 Jun 2025: Sword Beach to Arnhem – 1,000 miles in 12 days.
Phase 2: 29 Sep – 08 Oct 2025: Arnhem to Bremen – 600 miles in 8 days.
Each phase of this tour offers the thrill of riding in a vintage WWII vehicle, all while being expertly guided by a regimental historian. Lose yourself in the breathtaking scenery and explore the landmarks that defined the course of history. This is more than a trip; it’s a chance to create lasting memories while paying tribute to the sacrifices made by brave soldiers.
